Spent a couple hours at the Venice Beach Skate park in California!Very nice! Although finding a place to park the car was a bitch.  Spent probably just as much time (1hr 1/2) trying to find a place to park.  Finally I just told my family to let me out. I was getting ancy to skate this gem.  Click on the photo to enlarge.  -WelpCyaLater Venice! I hope to see you again soon!

United States Largest wind turbine

The United States largest wind turbine happens to be right down the street from my workplace.  Pretty cool.  One blade is longer than 2 of our buildings.  With a height of 443' that is one huge wind tower.  Apparently it fires 2megawatts of power for Lincoln Electric company.  Quite impressive!

I held it while they tied it to the grid.

It said "this is my good side"

Each blade is over 220' long.

Bit of perspective for you.  443' radius

At Lincoln Electrics site there's more info and a nice slide show about the wind tower.
